Position Overview:
The Commercial Landscape Maintenance Hourly Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified field employees to support our landscape maintenance operations. This role is field-focused and requires regular travel to job sites, hiring events, community locations, and partner agencies using a company-provided truck. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable building relationships with diverse candidates and field leaders. Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is required.
Key Responsibilities:
· Source and recruit hourly field employees for commercial landscape maintenance crews, including laborers, crew leaders, and equipment operators.
· Attend job fairs, hiring events, and visit local communities or referral partners to generate candidate flow.
· Partner with operations leadership to understand staffing needs and upcoming project demands.
· Manage the full recruitment process: screening, interviewing, coordinating onboarding, and ensuring completion of employment documentation.
· Regular travel to branch locations, job sites, and hiring areas using a company-provided truck.
· Build relationships with local organizations, community groups, and workforce development partners.
· Conduct on-site hiring days and support walk-in applicants.
· Maintain a strong presence in the field to understand team needs and candidate success factors.
· Ensure all hiring practices follow company policies, state/federal employment laws, and safety standards.
· Maintain accurate recruiting records, applicant tracking data, and onboarding documents.
· Support E-Verify, background checks, and pre-employment requirements.
· Work closely with HR and branch operations to ensure smooth onboarding and scheduling for new hires.
· Provide recruitment updates, reporting, and hiring metrics to leadership.
Qualifications:
· Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
· 1–3 years of recruiting experience; field or high-volume recruiting preferred.
· Experience in the landscape, construction, or similar labor-focused industries is a plus.
· Comfortable traveling regularly and working in a field environment.
· Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet hiring deadlines.
· Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record (company vehicle provided).
· Basic proficiency in MS Office and applicant tracking systems.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
