Position Overview:
The Project Engineer is an entry-level support role responsible for assisting Estimators, Project Managers, and Superintendents with documentation, coordination, and administrative tasks across the full project lifecycle. This role supports the flow of information between estimating, preconstruction, and field operations to ensure projects are organized, documented, and executed to company standards.

· Prepare, organize, and maintain project documents including RFIs, submittals, change order logs, and project correspondence. Support creation and maintenance of project files in Aspire.
· Assist estimators with quantity takeoffs, plan organization, scope review, and bid documentation. Gather vendor quotes and maintain updated vendor pricing or specification documentation.
· Provide logistical and documentation support to project teams, including delivery tracking, material documentation, and daily reporting support. Assist with project schedules, material submittals, and procurement documentation.
· Help maintain project checklists, quality-control documentation, punch list tracking, and closeout documents. Assist with safety documentation, including gathering toolbox talk records or safety meeting notes when needed.
· Facilitate communication between estimating, project management, accounting, and field operations. Distribute updated drawings, specifications, and changes to the appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
· Assist estimators with organizing bid packages, including assembling plans, specifications, addenda, and required attachments.
· Collect and track vendor and subcontractor quotes; maintain a log of pricing, scope notes, and lead times.
· Perform basic quantity takeoffs and help verify takeoff accuracy against plans and specifications.
· Support pre-bid meetings by gathering site photos, utility information, jurisdictional requirements, and project constraints.
· Help prepare bid proposal forms, clarifications, inclusions/exclusions, and scope comparison sheets.
· Maintain the estimating database with updated pricing, production rates, and historical project data.
· Assist with post-bid documentation including scope revisions, value-engineering suggestions, and client follow-up.
Qualifications:
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings (training provided).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Aspire or project management software is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest in landscape construction and willingness to learn field operations.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
